Smetana Bartered Bride Kempe UK HMV ASD 522
Ultra Rare Original early Cream and Gold His Maters Voice
Pilar Lorengar, Fritz Wunderlich, Frick, Merker and others with the RAIS Chamber Choir and the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra conducted by Rudolf Kempe perform the "Bartered Bride" by Smetana. A 3 record set (5 sides), this is an English pressing on the HMV Label (ASD 522/23/24). The labels are cream with plum lettering, a gold border and stereophonic, and a small shaded dog logo. The records are of excellent appearance and play and sound superb with a minimum of surface noise. The box has a split along the edge near the bottom right-hand corner, and another small split at the centre on the back, otherwise it is in very good condition. Comes with cast list and a libretto.
