Smashing Pumpkins "Siamese Singles" Complete COLORED 7" Box Set
Condition Notes:
The box on these singles collections are normally pretty dinged up. I've seen many boxes and almost none of them have ever been perfect. The general condition is pretty low so if you get a box with only some slight markings like this one that's pretty above average! Plus all but one single come in high quality cardboard sleeves except for Disarm which is the oddball and comes in a low quality paper sleeve. Much like the outer box I've almost never seen a perfect Disarm sleeve. They're usually pretty creased.
All vinyl have zero visible markings. Some light ringwear to the back of the Cherub Rock sleeve, The Disarm single has some minor creasing (due to the inferior paper sleeve they used) and a one inch split on bottom seam, a two and a half inch split on right seam and a one inch split of left seam and then Rocket has a one inch split on bottom seam
Background:
These box sets have two different origins. The Black Vinyl box set all came packaged as one set while the Colored vinyl set only came with the box and a copy of the Peach Rocket single. The goal was to track down the other singles and complete the set. Only the Colored Edition comes with the sticker on the front of the box which makes it unique to the Black vinyl set. I THINK they were both from the UK? The Black vinyl set might be the American one. Not exactly sure.
One thing I do know is that they didn't make the same amount of each single. I don't know the totals on the pressings but judging from how often the singles turn up I'd say some are more scarce than others. The Peach Rocket single is the most rare of the bunch and because of that the box is harder to find as well. Also for some reason they seemed to have made less Clear Cherub Rock singles because they're rarely found today. While each single is very limited, those two are the gems of the bunch.
