Hello there and welcome to my auction. Please read my descriptions carefully before you bid. Please make sure you read everything especially the condition of each vinyl. The grading and criteria are below.

This is an auction for: Smashing Pumpkins – Siamese Dream – RARE Double Purple Marbled Vinyl LP album from 1993.

This is the RARE Purple Vinyl. These are so hard to find nowadays.

Condition on this one is NOT the best but plays well. I you are looking for a perfect copy then this is NOT the one for you. However if you are a fan or collector of the Pumpkins and don’t mind some wear & history with your records please read on as this could be the one for you. See below for complete description.

Vinyl Condition: Fair/Good (Record 1 has a lot of surface marks/scuffs & light scratches etc. Side B has some more visible scuff and scratch marks. There are some larger scuff marks on the first track of side 2 and a few dings. Even though they are very visible they have little effect on the playback apart from the odd click/pop in places. Record plays though fine without jumps or sticks. There are some clicks on “Today” but nothing terrible. The last track on side 1 has some louder clicks. There are a lot of general hairline marks and light scratches but again no serious effect on the playback. Record 2 is in much better condition. There are a fair few light scuffs & light hairlines/scratches etc but again record plays through fine without any jumps or sticks and sounds jolly great. Overall despite a lot of visible surface marks both records play really well with great sound quality. There are several pops, clicks and ticks in places but overall nice playback. There is some light surface crackle but its only light. I dare say it probably plays better than some so called perfect ones being sold on ebay. At least I am honest. I am probably being really picky but I like to be as accurate as possible).

Inner Sleeve Condition: VG (Plain white polylined inner sleeves).

Outer Sleeve Condition: Fair (Outer gatefold sleeve is a bit banged up but intact. There are a lot of heavy scratches/scrapes to the front and back faces. There are visible scrapes to the girls faces on the front and some heavy corner creasing. There is edge and corner wear and scuffing and signs of ringwear. Generally sleeve is fair

I grade my vinyl’s as follows:

M = Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Unplayed and sealed records are referred to as Mint.

Ex = Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is no lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have minimal wear and/or creasing.

VG = Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.
Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects.

G = Good: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

Fair = The record shows signs of extensive play and may have many marks and deep scratches but will still play ok but with significantly lower sound quality. Artwork will be rather worn with possible splits, small rips, scrapes, dents, or maybe water damage.
