THE SMALL FACES - 'SMALL FACES'
This outstanding UK 1st MONO pressing of their 2nd studio album dates from initial June 1967 release.
It is on the pale lilac Immediate label: IMLP 008
Matrix numbers: IMLP 008-1L & IMLP 008-2L
Stamper codes: 1/M & 1/H
Vinyl weight: 141g
Housed within an unlaminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover, with original 'Patents Applied For' inner-sleeve.

A pristine pair with just a small handful of barely visible spindle trails around each unworn centre hole.
Visual: EXCELLENT +
Factory-fresh deep-gloss playing surfaces which apart from a single faint hairline on side 2 are unmarked and 'as new' in strong daylight. Closer inspection beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp reveals only a few harmless wispy paper hairlines consistent with the few times this disc has been removed from its inner-sleeve, together with a sparkling rainbow shine. Tough to upgrade this beauty.
Sound Quality: NEAR MINT
This superb sounding copy has received very little play and there is absolutely no trace of any groove/playwear distortion to any of these exceptionally mixed mono tracks. My playcheck detected a touch of low-level vinyl background between tracks but no clicks, pops or any other audible distractions or wear.
Cover: EXCELLENT +
An exceptional example of this easily worn cover which remarkably still remains encased within it original shrinkwrapping.
The shrink has protected the front panel from the usual heavy wear found on this unlaminated cover and what little storagewear there is, is confined to the shrinkwrapping itself. There is minor shelfwear to the lower right corner and to the tips of the others together with a hint to
the front opening edge only.
The exposed rear panel is pristine & totally unblemished.
There is a small hole in the shrink on the upper part of the spine and a smaller area on the rear at the opening edge, otherwise it is fully intact and open only along the opening edge itself.
Both seams are smooth & unstressed and the spine is clean & fully worded.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT +
