The Small Faces
Ogden’s Nut Gone Flake
Ultra Rare Very 1st Mono Press
June 1st 1968
IMLP 012
Overall Description
Over four decades after its release, Ogden’s' Nut Gone Flake remains a mind expanding experience. It was one of the defining musical statements of the era
It was also the first record to have a fully circular sleeve, and still remains one the most desirable records of the 60s!!
The outer sleeve opens into 5 separate full colour panels that are all joined at the hinges.
Due to these complicated hinges, so often these sleeves turned up ripped or badly repaired but here we have a stunning like new outer sleeve!!
It is the very first printing of the outer sleeve which has only one Patent Application Number on the rear!! This was quickly changed and all following sleeves have both this number and a Design Application Number as well!!
The record itself is also the very very first pressing on the Immediate Lilac/Grey label which has the “FOR AMAZING RESULTS…” text running at the outer edge!!
Along with the very 1st outer sleeve and 1st press vinyl, we have the lowest stampers available at 1H/1H!! This must have been one of the very 1st records pressed and so is the very closest possible to that mother stamper!
The record also has another very strange rarity which is that it has the tax code KJT on the record, which was used at the very end of the tax coding!
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity!!

Outer Sleeve
The beautiful 1st press folding circular outer sleeve is in splendid condition.. The edges are still lovely and sharp with no wear! . There are NO rips, NO tears, NO writing, No stains at all. Utterly Superb!! So often this outer sleeve is ripped and repaired but there is still plenty of life in all the hinges!! It really is a stunning outer sleeve. Near Mint
Labels
Apart from the unbelievable outer sleeve, this is where this record shines. So often this record has been played to death, as it was the lifestyle of the fans who liked the music!! This record, however, has hardly been played!! There are only a few invisible hairline spindle marks that can be seen under a strong halogen bulb. There are No rips, No stains, No spindle hole damage, just neatly written small initials on one side taking it from a mint to…. Excellent+
Vinyl Visual
The record looks brand new, it really does. Under a strong light, maybe the faintest of hairlines can be seen, but these are more likely removal marks, that have absolutely no effect on playback and cannot be felt. There is one hairline on side 2 that has no feel or audio playback!! It still retains its wonderful factory shine and lustre. There is no warping whatsoever; it looks brand new, as simple as that!! Excellent +
Vinyl Audio
. The record played through sublimely! There were no skips or jumps at all. There was no distortion at all. It sounds perfectly clear. All the dynamics of the band coming through as they should, with no distortion or unwanted noise. The super thick 1st press vinyl is the way that this record should be heard, it really is. It’s a strong punchy audio from start to finish!! Crystal!!!Near Mint
Overall
So there we have it, a museum quality listening experience, of one of the rarest and best UK 60s records out there!!

An utterly stunning outer sleeve housing a stunning vinyl!!
This really is a once in a lifetime opportunity!!
