Description

 Hello there bidders!

This is my new account that I have set up primarily for vinyl records.  I will be listing my fathers rather rare records other the next week so come and grab some rare wax!!

You can bid with absolute confidence as I describe with total honesty with as many pictures as possible.

I know what it is like to get an over graded record turning up 2 weeks late, but that is not the service you will receive here.  I am a true lover of vinyl and this passion will be transferred to the security of your records!!

So enough of that and on to the record in hand!

Small Faces

Ogden’s Nut Gone Flake

First Pressing 1968

IMLP 012

Immediate

Mono

Here we have a beautiful example of one of the rarest and accomplished Small Faces records available.

This classic record has seen most “best of...” lists, and for good reason.  It is simply stunning!

The record was released in a circular fold-out sleeve that due to its intricate design is always found now to be ripped or crudely repaired, but here we have a stunning near mint example!

What makes this record really special is that it not only has the earliest matrix possible, but it also has the very lowest matching stampers at 1H & 1H!

But it doesn’t stop there! Only on the very first presses is the KT tax code present, but here we have a KJT tax code!!

There are many variants of this record, but only the very first pressings had the following criteria:

·         The lilac/grey Immediate labels.

·         The Matrix codes -1L & -2L

·         The “Patent Application text” on the rear ONLY! (later presses had the design application also)

·         The KT (KJT) tax code present.

Matrix Numbers

IMLP 012 -1L & IMLP 012 -2L

Stampers.

Side 1:             1          H

Side 2:             1          H

Sleeve Condition.

The 1st print fold out sleeve is in perfect condition! So often these are damaged or on the edge of breaking, but this sleeve is as good as it was on day 1.  The colours are still fresh and vibrant.  There are no rips, tears, writing, stains or anything else to mention.  Simple as that really!

 Nr Mint

Label Condition.

The first press Immediate lilac labels are in fantastic condition.  There are no rips, rubbing or stains to mention.  There is no centre hole damage at all.  The KJT tax code sits beautifully on side 1. The initials BW are written small and neat on side 1.  Under a strong light, maybe only one invisible spindle line can be seen!  It’s clear to see that this record has only been played once or maybe twice!

Excellent

Vinyl Visual Condition.

The record itself looks near unplayed.  Only a few wispy removal marks can be seen under a strong light and one unfeelable hairline.  It still retains its wonderful factory sheen and lustre.  There is no warping whatsoever!  It’s a beautiful clean and sharp 1st press!

EXCELLENT

Vinyl Audio Condition.

The record sounds superb from start to finish!  There are no jumps, skips or distortion at all! I heard only slight static on the quiet parts at full volume throughout the whole record and my system picks up every noise!  The dynamics of all the different instruments are so well defined and easily separable by the ear.  This really is how the record should be heard; it’s incomparable to later presses or other formats.  Near perfect sharp, crystal audio that won’t disappoint! EXCELLENT +

So there we have it.  One of the rarest and earliest copies of Ogden’s you are likely to see and in such stunning condition.

There are many sellers on eBay selling later presses as firsts (and getting away with it!) but here is the real deal!

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

Happy Bidding!!

All my records will be sent first class, signed for and insured to their value!

I will package the records with extreme care, with hard stiffeners and the vinyl separate to the sleeve and inner, all housed in a Defenda lock tab record box envelope.

I try to be as honest as I can in my descriptions, taking as many pictures as possible, but if you don’t feel happy with your purchase, I offer no quibble full refunds as soon as the record is sent back.  I will not give partial refunds however, only full.  I think this is fair, Thanks!

<--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------->

Over the next month I will be listing my Fathers record collection.  He was an avid collector who amassed a pretty huge collection that I will be offering all at 99p starts! I shall be listing No Emi Harvests, 1st press Beatles, Pink Islands and loads of other rarities!

They are mostly in near perfect condition with my dad putting most on tape in the 80’s, then once again onto CD in the 90’s, and since they have been sat unplayed and always in plastic covers! , so stay tuned if you’re interested in some good old rare wax!
