SMALL FACES -'OGDEN'S NUT GONE FLAKE'


Here is a rare opportunity to acquire a MINT & UNPLAYED UK 1st MONO pressing of the Small Faces' best-loved album.

This time-capsule example dates from initial May 1968 release on the grey Immediate label: IMLP 012

A 1968 'KJT' purchase tax code is present in the centre of the side 1 label


Matrix numbers: IMLP 012-1L & IMLP 012-2L

Stamper codes: 1/H & 1/H

Vinyl weight: 137g


Housed in a 5-panel fold-out 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover with 'UK Patent Application' number only on the rear panel (later printings added a design application number too).

This perfect copy is complete with its original thin clear poly inner-sleeve.

A fine pair with just a faint fingermark to the left of the side 1 spindle hole and a single spindle mark on the side 2 label caused by stacking in the factory

Flawless, 'as new' playing surfaces in the same condition as they left the factory 51 years ago. 

Audio: MINT -

This disc came to us unplayed. However we did give it a single careful play-check and we were not disappointed.
The disc delivers on every level with the powerful dedicated mono mix shining through on every track.
Aside from a touch of low-level vinyl background on some of Stanley Unwin's speeches on side 2, it is flawless.

Like the disc, this cover looks like it left the shops yesterday.
All aspects are bright, unfaded & totally unworn. Even the delicate hinges hold the panels together are 100% secure.
