Description

On offer here is a VERY rare Mono LP of The Small Faces' 'Odgens Nut Gone Flake' and is an ORIGINAL UK 1968 MONO 1st Pressing with the 1st Press 'Lilac/Grey' Immediate label.
This LP is very rare and virtually impossible to find. This 1st pressing has a UK Patent Application Number 21639/68, unlike the later pressings which contains a Design Application Number. This cover was changed immediately after release to the latter which makes this the earliest pressing of the sleeve.
The sleeve is round and unfolds into 5 circles containing photographs of the band. This sleeve was later changed to a conventional square shape for cost reasons.
The record contains the lilac/grey Immediate label and has 'For Amazing Results This Record Should Be Played At Full Volume' around the edge of the label which was later removed and is pressed on thick quality vinyl.
What makes this record all the rarer is it's autographed by all the band members - Ronnie Lane, Ian McLagan, Kenney Jones and Steve Marriott. It was found in an attic in York along with a small handful of other signed items and was previously listed on Ebay until this week. Since listing I had it verified that this is a 1st pressing and has a significant value even without the signatures.
The sleeve and record are in excellent condition, the plastic wrapping the record comes in is torn and worn, but at least it's the original. The chap who owned the record has written his name on the back of the sleeve in small lettering.
