THE SMALL FACES - 'FROM THE BEGINNING'
This was their second UK LP contains their hit records on Decca including their number one song "All or Nothing". It was an unofficial retrospective collection released by Don Arden on Decca after the group had made a switch to the Immediate label.
This superb UK 1st MONO pressing dates from initial release in June 1967, and is on the 'deep-groove' unboxed red Decca label: LK 4879

Housed in a front laminated, bi-flipback 'Clout & Baker' printed cover together with original poly-lined lined inner-sleeve.

A clean & vibrant pair with just a small collection of well-aimed spindle trails around each centre hole.
Visual: EXCELLENT +
Pristine, deep-gloss playing surfaces which apart from a single light paper scuff on side 2 are completely unmarked and 'as new' in strong daylight. Even close examination directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp fails to reveal anything more than a few barely visible wispy paper hairlines and a sparkling rainbow shine. Both sides of this well looked after disc lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.
Play: EXCELLENT +
This copy has received just careful play on good equipment and happily the sound is clean, clean & unworn throughout. My single careful playcheck found no evidence at all of any groove/playwear distortion or any clicks, pops or other such audible distractions.
Cover: EXCELLENT -
A very respectable example of this fragile cover which retains a bright, clean & glossy front panel which is free from any significant signs of wear. All corners are in good shape but there is some wear to the rear opening edge where some long removed adhesive tape. The rear panel itself is relatively unworn and free from any writing or missing Both seams and the fully worded spine are unworn & intact.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT
Clean, flat & white with a few light storage wrinkles but no other faults at all.
