Small Faces~ Double ( vinyl) Album~ "The Autumn Stone" ~Visually Good to VG

Australian pressing ( original 1969)~ IMAL-01/02 (see vinyl and audio grading + matrix numbers below).

Gatefold cover is good to very good ( nicely free of names ,splits & stains etc) and has general aging ( a few minor edge scuffs and some light ring wear)~and how cool are those 60s psych art works.

imal-01   (record 1)   matrix numbers ( stampers on run off wax)~ imal 01 1y -3g/2y-2g (with an interesting "mis stamp" on side 2 of record 1 )~visually grading 8/10 ( with one scratch across track 3~side 2). Record 1 was obviously only played sparingly by the previous owner (very tight spindle hole) and thankfully that scratch track 3/ side 2 doesn't detract. Audio quality VG+

 imal-02   ( record 2 )  (imal  02  1y -4g/  ima l02 2y-2g ~visually grading 7/10 with several light scratches on side 1 and a few light surface marks on side 2. Tracking is fine both sides and audio  good ( the light scratches don't seem to detract and has acceptable but occasional background pops & clicks)

The Autumn Stone (album)

The Autumn Stone was the posthumous retrospective double album released in the UK by Small Faces in 1969 on the Immediate label.

The double album contains most of the Immediate and Decca original 7" single releases together with live recordings from a concert at Newcastle City Hall and unreleased material from their unfinished fourth LP 1862, including "Autumn Stone", an alternate version of "Afterglow Of Your Love", covers of two Tim Hardin songs ("If I Were A Carpenter" and "Red Balloon") and the instrumental "Wide Eyed Girl On The Wall". It was released by Andrew Loog Oldham soon after the band announced their break up in 1969. In Germany, a single LP with only the new material was released with the title In Memoriam.
