this one is bordering on legendary status! a guarenteed original first pressing of the debut sisters of mercy 45 "damage done" / "watch" single from 1980 on merciful release MR7.
it ticks all the right boxes to guarentee a first pressing- the cross at the top of the church steeple is present, which was cropped for later boot copies, and the run out groove info is as follows:-
- IN THE DEAD WAX ON SIDE 1 - A PORKY PRIME CUT MR7 PICTURE-1 EG FOR SPIGGY
- IN THE DEAD WAX ON SIDE 2 - ANUDDER PORKY PRIME CUT MR 7 WORDS-1 EG FOR TRIXIE
condition wise: the (very thin) matt paper sleeve does show 1 or 2 signs of it's age, just light bends along the top edge of back sleeve by opening, no tears and perfectly intact spines though. the vinyl shows 1 or 2 light surface marks, and has a little crackling on intro to each tune but appearance wise an easy vg++/ex- with lots of shine and clean labels.
great copy of a killer rare 45, previous copies on popsike price this regularly around £400 in the last year- with one copy reaching £510 this year. this starts way lower- and something i'd not normally encourage, but i was tempted to put a buy it now on this- i might be persuaded to still do that if you get my drift...
