Description
Here for sale is a rare copy of Sir Lord Comic’s 1970 Pressure Beat single ‘Jack Of My Trade’. His style part English cricket commentator/part lover, Sir Lord Comic here toasts over Joe Gibbs’ ‘The Whip’, a rousing update of The Techniques’ splendid ‘You Don’t Care. The B-side is taken by another Joe Gibbs track ‘Man Beware’ credited to The Flickers.
The item was purchased second hand, in 1978, from Birmingham’s Reddington’s Rare Records, by singer/author Julian Cope. The single has just been played through and features two loud and exhilarating cuts. Both sides exhibited surface noise and pops, but no jumps.
