An ultra rare 1971 recording of Simon Le Bon, aged 13, performing 4 tracks with the Church organist in Pinner.
This is an unreleased recording.
Understood to be just one of two ever made, and now quite possibly totally unique!!!
Side 1:- O, Taste And See O, For The Wings Of A Dove
Side 2:- Ave Verum He Shall Feed His Flock
Simon joined the local church choir at St Johns in Pinner High St, Middlesex where he took choir practice under the supervision of Mr Turvey the church organist, he attended twice during the week and twice on Sundays.
This was where Simon made, what would later prove to be, his first of many records. He was just 13 and a local recording company came along and recorded Simon and Mr. Turvey performing "He shall feed his Flock". Unfortunately this recording was never to be released to the public.
In fact there were just 2 copies made, for him and Mr. Turvey.
This is a true, once in a lifetime, opportunity to actually own one of these incredibly rare recordings.
Simon Le Bon soon went on to become the lead vocalist of Duran Duran, which he still remains with today. Duran Duran were the biggest band in the world throughout the 1980's and remain very popular to this day.
This is a great piece of genuine music history for fans of the man himself or simply collectors of music memorabilia alike. Clearly, items like this are so incredibly hard to come across, if ever. Don't miss out!!
Condition of item
The recording is over 40 years old and is showing signs of wear. The record is in a playable, listenable condition. It has surface scratches to the vinyl but all tracks play.
Some sound distortion/crackle. Edge wear to record. Item comes in a protective cover as in photo.
