Description

VERY rare LP, especially with the vinyl in this, lovely, condition. An ORIGINAL 1966 UK MONO Pressing on the 'Textured' Orange CBS label  ONE OF SIMON & GARFUNKEL'S RAREST UK LP's EVER.

WHEN THIS LP WAS RELEASED IN THE UK, IN 1966, ONLY A FEW WERE SOLD AND, AS A RESULT, IT IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND INCREDIBLY HARD TO LOCATE TODAY!!!!

WHAT MAKES THIS LP REALLY SPECIAL IS THAT IT IS AN EARLY PRESSING WITH ALL OF THE 'EARLY PRESSING ATTRIBUTES. THIS LP HAS A THICKER FLIP-BACK LAMINATED FRONT COVER (LATER ONES DO NOT!), 'MONO' PRINTED ON THE REVERSE OF THE COVER (LATER ONES DID NOT!), AND 'TEXTURED' ORANGE CBS LABELS WITH '33' LABEL TEXT (AGAIN, LATER ONES DO NOT). 

ONLY A TINY HANDFUL OF THESE PRESSINGS WERE MADE - BEFORE THE FLIP-BACK LAMINATED COVER WAS DROPPED (AND CHANGED TO A NON-FLIPBACK COVER). THE LABEL TEXT WAS ALSO CHANGED AS WELL.

This is the ORIGINAL CBS UK Pressing from 1966 and is in GREAT condition!!!!  The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl.  The Cat. No is BPG 62690 on the ORIGINAL 'Textured' Orange CBS label (see picture) and is a UK MONO Pressing!!!!



Record: Excellent. Has a lovely sheen and plays very well indeed.
Sleeve: A comfortable VG+. It has a couple of creases but is pretty clean and has no rips, tears, writing or stickers. Even the un-laminated back of the cover is in nice condition with NO grubbyness/ringwear, NO yellowing, and NO writing. Printed by Ernest J Day.
CBS Inner: Comes with the original CBS inner sleeve, advertising other releases.This is also in nice condition - Very Good+.
