~ From a local Long Beach, California estate sale: "THE SOUNDS of making a motion picture: THE SAND PEBBLES" LP on the Argyle-Solar label, 1966. ~ Narrated by Richard Attenborough on location in Taipei, etc, with "aural atmosphere" and interviews by Attenborough on set with the director and stars, including Steve McQueen. ~ Signed to the previous owner by Steve McQueen in pen on the front upper left album sleeve. I've seen completed sales of several of these albums signed by Attenborough, McQueen and a few other cast members so I suspect there was a promotional tour for the movie where these albums were handed out or made available. - VG+ in VG+ sleeve. Vinyl well-protected in original inner paper sleeve and appears to have been played very little. A few light scuffs. Sleeve is nice with light corner rubbing but no splits.
