SIGNED NEAR MINT Copy of ULTRA-RARE Psych-Folk LP "Miles from Nowhere" by Tony Miles. Custom pressing and Labels.

Tony Miles was a Brisbane based folk musician and band leader. This 1973 LP is his only known full length release.

Comes with a MINT CONDITION 16 page hand written printed lyrics booklet adorned with psych folk illustrations printed on archival quality art paper.

Sourced in Brisbane from the original owner, this vinyl has had a sheltered life. Infact the record itself shone when removed from the sleeve.

Custom Pressed and released on a private label, it was recorded in a Toowong studio in Brisbane, and later mixed at a local television station. The sleeve indicates it was distributed by the "Guild of Australian Songwriters" in Toowong.

This little known gem will make a crowning jewel of someones collection. Certainly the only way to hear this music in its true form, this LP couldn't exist in more than 500 copies. It would be a task finding another in this condition.

Thick 150gm vinyl. Record surface is Bright and Glossy. Playback is Brilliant. No flaws, minor or major, to mention.

For its age and pedigree the Matte sleeve is in excellent condition. Not as mint as the vinyl and booklet, but following very close to.
A few age spots, minor ring wear, one slightly bent corner, slight discolouration towards the edges.

Grading
Grading is based upon the Record Collectors Guild Guide for Grading Records. All records are conservatively graded so that no one will be disappointed.
Records are graded visually. A separate grading is given for both the vinyl record and the sleeve.

Mint (M)
Absolutely perfect in every way. Rarely used Grading

Near Mint (NM)
A nearly perfect record. Sparingly used Grading.
Vinyl:
The record shows no obvious signs of wear.
Sleeve:
LP covers have no creases, folds, seam splits, cut-out holes or other noticeable similar defects. Other inserts are in the same condition.
A 45 RPM or EP sleeve has no more than the most minor defects, such as almost invisible ring wear or other signs of slight handling.

Very Good Plus (VG+)
A Very Good Plus record will show some signs that it was played and handled by a previous owner who took good care of it.
Vinyl:
Record surfaces may show some minor signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don’t affect one’s listening experiences.
Sleeve:
Picture sleeves and LP inner sleeves show slight wear, lightly turned up corners, or a slight seam split.
An LP cover may have slight signs of wear also and may be marred by a cut-out hole, indentation or corner indicating it was taken out of print and sold at a discount.
The label may have some ring wear or discoloration, but it should be barely noticeable. The center hole will not have been misshapen by repeated play.

Very Good (VG)
Many of the defects found in a VG+ record will be more pronounced in a VG disc.
Vinyl:
Surface noise will be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during a song’s intro and fade, but will not overpower the music otherwise.
Groove wear may start to be noticeable, as with light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound.
Sleeves:
Labels may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached. The same will be true of picture sleeves or LP covers.
However, it will not have all of these problems at the same time, only two or three of them.

Good (G)
Good does not mean Bad!
Vinyl:
A record in Good or Good Plus condition can be put onto a turntable and will play through without skipping. But it will have significant surface noise and scratches and visible groove wear (on a styrene record, the groove will be starting to turn white).
Sleeve:
A cover or sleeve will have seam splits, especially at the bottom or on the spine. Tape, writing, ring wear or other defects will start to overwhelm the object.

Fair (F)
Vinyl:
The record is cracked, badly warped, and won’t play through without skipping or repeating.
Sleeve:
The picture sleeve is water damaged, split on all three seams and heavily marred by wear and writing. The LP cover barely keeps the LP inside it. Inner sleeves are fully seam split, crinkled, and written upon.
