Description
This is Blue Note Records BLP 7029,Sidney Bechet Olympia Concert Volume 1, a blue and white, deep groove 161 Lexington Ave NYC label, flat edged original mono 10" issue of this classic record with the ear (p) mark in the dead wax. The record is in VG+(+) condition, (a strong VG+) showing some light marks at the beginning of side 1 but playing quietly throughout. The cover has a 2" piece of tape on the spine and some light edge wear but is otherwise excellent and intact. The labels are excellent and show no spindle marks. This is an excellent collector's grade copy of this original 10" Blue Note LP. The record was cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12.
