Description
- Unbelievable near mint condition on this 1950s original deep groove Tampa 10” LP “Shorty Rogers And The Lighthouse All Stars” (Tampa LP-12).
- The musicians are: Shorty Rogers on trumpet, Jimmy Giuffre (misspelled Giufre) on tenor sax, Shelly Manne (drums), Milt Bernhart (trombone), Howard Rumsey (bass) and Frank Patchen (piano). Also featured are some rare vocals by Vivien Garry.
- The tracklist is: M.B.B (all of side 1)/You Know I’m In Love With You/Whispering/I Get A Kick Out Of You.
- This glossy LP is very close to mint, possible because it has a protective inner sleeve normally missing from these 10“ LPs. At first glance the LP looks like it just came out of the factory but a couple of very minor marks drops it down to near mint. It also plays great with just a hint of surface noise. The labels show very little sign of play and the cover is also near mint with glossy front and back slicks and just some light wear on the seams and a small mark on the back from a removed sticker.
- NO reserve and a very reasonable minimum bid of $24.99 on this very rare modern jazz LP.
