Description
About This Record. This is the extremely rare private pressing of Shiva's Headband's first LP entitled
Coming to a Head. The cover has a black and white circular artwork pasted on one side and a pasted on lyric sheet on the back cover. It is the only one I have ever handled. I acquired it in Texas about 18 years ago for a trade for some cool Dutch beat. Yes, the scan is a close up, the front pasted on cover is smaller; I tried to show the condition of the paste on cover instead of showing the LP full size with cover. This is NOT a BOOT.
DENNIS: thanks for asking about the cover art and being pasted on or not; sorry I thought only the back cover was pasted on; actually both the front and back are, although the back cover is much thicker. The front cover, which I can feel so I know is pasted on, is so perfect that I thought it was stamped in the cover!
Cover Condition. The cover is a super nice VG++. The picture is a close up of the cover, not a photo of the whole cover. No tape or writing; no seam splits or wear except for a little bit on the top left and bottom right along the seam. A true rarity. Only a wee little bit of ring wear. You shan't find anuther better copy! You'd be more likely to run over an armadillo on the highway . . . Guarnteed original; my asking price is what I paid way back then.
Vinyl Condition. I do NOT use EX. The vinyl is near mint; just a mark or two from careful play. The labels are blank like on all originals (pure black, not white, label).
Grading Vinyl. I use modified Goldmine grading standards. Mint/NM/VG+/VG/VG-/G+/G. On rare occasions I may use VG++. I DO NOT use the EX grade! My VG+ is EX to EX+, and my VG is EX-. I grade conservatively; look at my feedback! I play grade my vinyl with an MC Ruby 3 Micro Benz cartridge. I do not alter the records, covers, or labels with pens, tape, glue or other stuff. When I notice such damage, I point it out in detail!
On Dec-30-05 at 15:10:04 PST, seller added the following information: To answer the question someone asked, this does have pasted on artwork on the front as well as the back cover. I had thought the front cover was not a paste on but when I looked it is indeed. Sorry for any confusion! The artwork on the front is pasted on as well.
