Description
On offer here is a copy of Love Death And The Lady by Shirley and Dolly Collins, a first pressing released on the Harvest label in 1970 catalogue number SHVL 771. This is a genuine very first press and does not have “EMI”on the label.
The laminated gatefold sleeve by Garrod and Lofthouse is in fantastic Excellent Plus condition , a truly remarkable sleeve for an album that is 48 years old.
The vinyl is in fantastic shape with a glossy shine to both sides, again rated Excellent Plus.
The labels are clean and fresh with one light spindle mark on each side to denote any play.
The matrix numbers are SHVL 771 A1 and B1.
This copy also has a Harvest promo Inner Bag which is unsplit.
Early Original (non EMI) Harvest pressings are now difficult to find and are sought after, and this is one of the most difficult to find in any shape, this is in fantastic condition and a real collectors item, be quick on this one.
The record will be sent outside of its cover in a polythene sleeve sandwiched between two 12” cardboard stiffeners in a heavy duty record mailer made by Covers 33 as used by Mail Order Record companies.
