A very nice copy of this justly famous recording, by the amazing Shirley Collins, one of the most important artists to emerge from the folk revival scene. Guitar and banjo accompaniment by Collins, John Hasted, Ralph Rinzler, Guy Carawan. With original insert with notes by Alan Lomax. I've seen this LP with both red and blue covers. 1959 copyright on insert. 1960 copyright on back cover. In any case, a very rare item. Cover NM, and except for cutout hole, as fine a cover as you will find. Vinyl EX-, has some minor surface noise, which is typical for old Folkways records. Still, a very nice copy. PLEASE NOTE: although most of the records in this sale have few or no marks, none is in perfect condition. If you are seeking "perfect sound", you probably want CDs. Nearly all of these records are desirable items, due to content and/or rarity, despite any imperfections. GRADING: Sealed, NM, EX+, EX, EX-, VG+, VG, VG-, G. Every LP is play-graded.
