Sheppard Bros. - Wrong Number / Maria of Old Mexico (Baby 1001) G wol
Not to suggest that ANY of the Sheppard Brothers 45s are easy to find, but here's a pretty Rare soul 45 from Atlanta's Sheppard Bros, both songs with Zilla Mays (WAOK) getting a writing credit. Little Sputnic gets lead vocals on Wrong Number. Like the Eula Cooper 45 I auctioned last month, this one has been very well loved, but not well cared for - used and abused you might say. So - be sure to check the sound file. This does play from start to finish with no sticks or skips. This is one of those 45s that is a treat to run across in any kind of playable shape though.
