Low Starting Price and NO RESERVE

Back in 1968 when this very rare Mono Album was pressed a handfull of test pressings were made, they would have been used to confirm the quality of the pressing and almost certainly were given to band members, company big wigs or the top Disc Jockeys of that time.

Officially these records should never be available to the public but over a period of time and a fortunate house clearance, this amazing collectable has come into our hands.

To find the very Rare Mono Version of this album is nearly impossible in its own right to locate to be able to offer what could easily be a one off Test Pressing is a real bonus.

The matrix Run off groove (XEX 689 -1 / XEX 690 -1) confirms that this is a true 1968 pressing as the mono version was never reissued (unlike the stereo).

Unusually for parlophone pressings of this time there are no issue numbers pressed into the run off area, i can only assume that this was unique to the test pressing although i dont have an original mono to compare.

The laminated flip back sleeve also shows the PMC 7055 number confirming again it is a very early pressing.

Whilst I appreciate It is difficult to confirm the legitimacy of this item I believe the above information, coupled with the manner that I obtained the Test Pressing give me every confidence to fully Guarantee this product as 100% official in everry way.

Condition:

The sleeve is complete with no seem splits or tears, there are however some handling creases and wear to the corners by the openning, there has also at some point some liquid spilt on the reverse, the pictures below show it in more detail.

The Vinyl plays through both sides with no skips or jumps, there are considerable surface and playing marks , to this point I must make it clear that the record is not in the best condition, there is surface and playing noise throughout both sides, in some places its not too bad and the record is well worth listening to, but if its the ultimate playing record that you are looking for this is certainly not it.
