Description

For sale is the original Cadet Records LP “S.O.B.” by Shades Of Brown (Cadet Stereo LPS-843). Classic early-1970s Chicago soul/funk with a deep-groove vibe and standout tracks including “Lite Y’All Up,” “Lie #2,” “Man’s Worst Enemy,” and “Garbage Man.” Label shows Cadet branding; back cover notes recording at Ter-Mar Studios, Chicago (April 1970) and Cadet Records/Chess Producing Corp.


Tracklist (as printed): Side 1—Lite Y’All Up; Lie #2; He Didn’t Leave Me A Name; Little Girl; Ho-Hum World. Side 2—Man’s Worst Enemy; Girl I’m Coming Home; Falling In Love Too Hard; The Soil I Tilled For You; Garbage Man. 12" 33⅓ RPM stereo LP. Includes original outer jacket and a plain paper inner sleeve.


Condition: Used. Jacket shows noticeable shelf/edge wear, surface scuffs, and corner wear consistent with age; artwork and text remain presentable. Vinyl shows visible play/light scuffing and sleeve marks; label is clean. A solid vintage copy for listening/collection. You will receive the exact record shown in the photos, packaged carefully for shipment.


Includes the track 'The Soil I Tilled For You', famously sampled by A Tribe Called Quest and Diamond D. Vinyl retains beautiful original gloss.
