Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band -The Beatles
I have for sale my Beatles LP in near perfect condition.
I bought this in 1967 shortly after its release and I can vouch that it has been played no more than half a dozen times.
The record has no marks or scratches whatsoever and has been stored by me in its original covers and further stored in a transparent plastic sleeve.
Record Number is PMC 7027 - Original mono recording 1967
Matrix numbers XEX 637 - 1 and XEX 687 - 1.
Further around the spindle where the matrix numbers show we have letters M R on 1st side and O on 2nd side. I do not know what these signify but I am sure record collectors will know.
Also around the spindle at centre of record are the letters K T on second side.
I think you would have to go a long way to find such a pristine copy.
The cardboard insert is in perfect condition as are the words across the spline along the back of the sleeve.
Therre are two slight marks I have to mention. Firstly the flame red record paper sleeve has 4 small brown marks on one side of it - see picture 4. I did not cause these (and no one else has ever borrowed or played my copy). I can only assume it is what I believe is called 'foxing' where some paper can brown with age due to chemicals in the paper makeup. Secondly there is a half inch bit of plastic at the top of the sleeve that has come adrift.
Apart from this the sleeve is in absolute perfect condition - there are no marks whatsoever on the shiny covering.
I have tried to photograph the record as honestly as I can but my camera is not that effective on closeups (methinks I might ask for a new camera for my birthday!). If you live near us you are very welcome to come and inspect the record.
