Description
This is the Sex Pistols and their Bootleg album Spunk, from 1977 on Blank Records. I know that there are a few variations on the early release, so I will be as detailed as possible on the record. The catalogue number is BLA 169, in the run out matrix the etching is - on side one, LYN 432 - 14 ( however I believe it is LYN 432 - 111, but because there isn’t much room between the end of the track and the label, the 111 looks like 14 ). On side two, the LYN 432 -111 is unmistakable, as there is more space between end of last track and label. On both sides in the run out, there is A MAX and B MAX respectively. The labels are clean , and the side 2 label is discoloured on the right ( not a mark, but like that originally). The vinyls are EX, very clean, I have played both sides of the record from start to finish and it plays well with no jumps or sticks. One of my relations was working for a record company in London at the end of the seventies. and the record has been well looked after. The sleeve is one of the painted ones, I don’t know if was hand made by the label, or distributor.Overall this is certainly a nice copy and very collectible, although I have no idea how to value it. So, the easiest thing to do is a 1p start no reserve auction, and let’s see where we go! Many thanks for looking.
