Description
On this mid career retrospective issued in the mid 80's includes Zevon's best known compositions up until then recorded for the Asylum label including his 70's Hallloween novelty hit "Werewolves Of London", as well as the rock anthem "Play It All Night Long" and one of Zevon's lesser known faves but finest meditations on life in L.A., "Desperados Under the Eaves." There are other songs of trapped people, forced into difficult choices, like the infamous "Lawyers Guns and Money", "Excitable Boy" , the disturbing "Roland The Headless Thompson Gunner" and the perky pathos filled song that Linda Ronstadt also had a bigger hit with, "Poor, Poor, Pitiful Me".
He is joined by many notable special guests on these tracks including most of 70's era Fleetwood Mac including namesakes John McVie and Mick Fleetwood, as well as super star vocalists Lindsey Buckingham & Stevie Nicks. Studio musicians, and backing vocalists include a who's who of 70's Southern California Rock sound like co-producers Jackson Browne & Waddy Wachtel s well as Don Henley, David Lindley, Graham Nash, J.D. Souther, Carl Wilson, Bobby Keyes, Jeff Porcaro and Leland Sklar.

Still in Shrink - This Factory Sealed copy of "A Quiet Normal Life: The Best of Warren Zevon" is looking for another good home. ( I think this is a late 80's Allied pressing version 60503-1, but it's been unopened in my possession since I purchased it in 1996 and remains sealed). This was a compilation slapped together by his old label to satisfy the curiosity of folks who may have missed out on owning Zevon's 70's LPs, a contractual obligation time capsule in part timed to capitalize on the 1986 movie "The Color Of Money" featuring one of Warren's songs.
You Are Bidding On a 1986 vintage Warren Zevon LP "A Quiet Normal Life: Best Of" Greatest Hits sealed copy (not a cut-out) . delivered via USPS media mail in a tracked cardboard mailer in like "New" condition.
