With King Oliver, Dave Nelson, Fats Waller, and Teddy Bunn all sitting in, Jimmy Johnson (James P.) & His Orchestra play "You've Got To Be Modernistic" and "You Don't Understand" on scroll label Victor V-38099. The Keep Shufflin' Trio (one of which is probably Waller), sings the vocal refrain on both sides.
Recorded in NYC on November 18, 1929, this record is in excellent-minus (E-) condition. There is a very faint 1" hairline edge crack (no noise).
