Rare early surf-rock single from Scott Engel, who later rose to fame as Scott Walker of The Walker Brothers. This 1963 Challenge Records promo pressing features the instrumental “Devil Surfer” on the A-side, written and produced by Mark Taylor, and “Your Guess” on the flip. Pressed on styrene and distributed by Warner Bros., this release captures Engel’s pre-fame experimentation with surf and pop styles.
