I purchased this as new ‘sealed’ however this is a Jem Import which warrants explanation. From what I could find out about Jem Imports, they started as some guys in college during the 1970’s who started importing vinyl from around the world and reselling it (eventually running afoul of the record industry. But how else could you get imports back then?). Apparently, they would open the albums, apply the ‘Another Import Album From Jem Imports’ sticker to the jacket and then re-shrinked the album (I actually bought an open Pink Led Zeppelin IV that had the Jem Import sticker on it, I’ll send you the picture if you want). I have no reason to believe this is not the case with this album. Without question this is not the factory shrink and it has come open in a couple of spots, most noticeably when looking at the album from behind within the top right area into some of the front upper left. There is wear within the corners which I attempted to capture, most noticeably the top right which has a bump. Finally with regard to the shrink it was reapplied a little on the tight side and there is a little wave in the cover and within the spine. The cover feels really thin and the shrink is like 5% too tight. This all having been said I numerically score the cover 87 1 which I believe is the high end of the excellent spectrum (like an B+). Vinyl is assumed to be mint and is being sold sealed in collector’s condition. Album will be mailed between cardboard in a Whiplash mailer.
