Schubert Symphony 8 Aust Columbia SAXO 2424
The Philharmonia Orchestra conducted by Carlo Maria Guilini performs the Schubert “Symphony No. 8”, and Brahms “Variations on a theme by Haydn”. An Australian stereo pressing on the Columbia Label (SAXO 2424), the labels are blue/green with silver radio waves and border and a note logo. The record is of excellent appearance and plays and sounds superb with occasional low-level surface noise. The heavy-duty English cover’s laminate has rubbed a little with other minor wear.
