MEGA RARE Test Pressing Schizo Fun Addict a. Theme From Suspira b. In The Long Run ...and so it goes full circle...the band that breathed life into Fruits de Mer Records back in 2008, when the label looked like it wouldn't make it past the drawing-board, return to deliver a wild 7", comprising off-kilter versions of tracks from two cult films, 'Suspiria' (the highly-rated but rarely-watched 1977 Italian horror flick with a soundtrack by Goblin) and Russ Meyer’s 1970 'Beyond The Valley Of The Dolls' (which Meyer said he wanted to be a satire, a serious melodrama, a rock musical, a comedy, a violent exploitation picture, a skin flick and a moralistic expose of show business – he achieved at least 1 out of 7). Great tracks in their own right, Schizo Fun Addict somehow also manage to re-create the feel of those first FdM recordings, when they turned us from a failed idea into a reality, and they induce a broad grin on my cynical and knackered old face every time i play the single - good on you, chaps.
