Description
In many ways this was both ground breaking and in some ways a high point for Lou Reed and John Cale early in their careers on Verve Records (V-5008). The songs include Venus in Furs and the epic Heroin. The record is a strong VG with a few to many light scratches/scuffs to call it VG+ - after a VPI cleaning it plays with some crackle some songs a little heavier than others but no skips, sticks or prominent tics, my test amp does not play in mono which I think would make this record sound much better and the cover has some problems - the pluses it has the banana peel close to 100% and the original torso back cover but as the pictures show there is a lot of water damage, a third of the front cover is stained, the back is a little better, the paper along the bottom is loose (could be partially restored) and the paper inside the gatefold at the bottom has some damage. All grading is guaranteed to visual Goldmine standards (see my feedback) unless otherwise specifically described. Price includes delivery confirmation and/or insurance(78s) domestic. Priority mail and professional packaging is $8.00, additional LPs are $1.00 domestic. I ship once a week, usually on Tuesdays, every item paid for by end of the day Sunday. Important - media mail may take up to two weeks for delivery!!! Insurance is included on purchases of $50.00 or more. Sorry about the increase in priority mail but I have sent a couple of LPs to the east coast and the post office priority cost was $8.00 - that does not consider the cost of the mailer, bubble wrap, and labels. Insurance and/or tracking for international sales is available at a much greater shipping cost (required for Portugal). The only way I can absolutely guarantee delivery internationally is with a tracking number or insurance. Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer’s responsibility. Please check with your country’s customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying. International shipping via first class can take a month or more from the shipping date - we have no control over shipping time. Please do not ask us to lie about record values on customs forms.
