Exceptionally scarce "paste-over" cover Beatles Meet the Beatles Scranton PA pressing of a MONO Capital catalog number T 2047, . NO RIAA Number on reverse, no splits on spine, no ring wear, original Royal blue Capital sleeve, Vinyl is in VG condition, has "light scratches" but I just played this and it sounds fine. These "PASTE-OVER COVERS" are hard to find.. I've owned this item for close to 30 years and just now found out that the sheet cover was glued onto and over a "wacky Capital cover that was not a big seller" due to the fact that Capital did NOT have enough physical cardboard covers when this album was released to the public in 1964. Matrix run out reads: Side A: -T-2047-G2"2 SIDE B : T2-2047 with IAM triangle, (Scranton PA Capital Pressing Plant). All matrix numbers and symbols are machine stamped. (scarce). Recorded in England Again. the spine has no "splitting, nor does the original Capital Royal blue inner advertising sleeve. Only a very tiny tiny amount of scuzz is seen on the actual cardboard out sleeve spine. If you need any other information on this scarce "Paste-over" Beatles album, let me know.
