Scarce 1950s Jimmy La Vaca Latin LP on Gone (Swings Cha Cha Cha)


 


 

 
Jimmy La Vaca – “Swings Cha Cha Cha” (Gone 7001). This is a very scarce 50s Latin LP by drummer James “Ls Vaca” Santiago and his band on the Gone label (Maroon deep groove). Santiago was the son of Don Sanyoago “King of the Mering”e" and raised in New York. After playing with Jose Curbello and La Playa Sextet he appeared with Lionel Hampton before forming his own band in Miami. Record includes 12 cuts” “La Yuga”; “Mosotros”; :Capullito De Allet”; “La Maricutana”; “Perfidia”; “Tequila”; “El Manicero”; “Siboney”; “Compadre Pedroiven”; “Frensi”; “Un Poquito De Tu Amor”; and “Anabacoa”. Record is in strong VG condition and cover is in VG conditon (has small cprner cover splits repaired with clear tape). Postage will be paid by purchaser.
