Magical loveRare Original UK Picture Disc with 3D centre LP released in 1971 on Matrix Records. Cat: TRIX1. Comes with 28 page booklet which is in Excellent condition. Also has original thick hard plastic outer sleeve which is in VG+ condition.
This batch of LP’s are from a very recently acquired collection of all original late 60’s early 70’s pressing LP’s. There are around 200 albums I hope to list over the coming weeks some fantastic titles amongst them most over 45 years old!! I have hand cleaned and listened to every album and graded conservatively (as per usual) to give the most accurate grading I can. I hope you enjoy browsing or bidding on the titles as much as I have listening to them all. .
A thoroughly competent slice of mystical West Coast influenced progressive psychedelia with an occult edge, some excellent female vocals and searing lead guitar work. Saturnalia was a rock group produced by Yardbirds legend Keith Relf. With a man named Adrian Hawkins and woman named simply Aletta heading up the vocal duties, their sound was assorted and fascinating combination of psychedelic rock. The music in total bordered on pre-prog-rock with a strong leaning towards hard rock, albeit a different slant than what was available in that era. Besides the tripped out artwork on both sides of the LP, a booklet is included that tells the story of the band with an outline of each individual personality including their astrological sign a full explanation of all the elements, fire and water and such.
Tracks: Magic love/ She brings peace/ And I have loved you/ Winchester town/ Traitor/ Soul song/ Princess and peasant boy/ Dreaming/ Step out of line.Labels are nice and clean with only a few light spindle marks and age spots on labels. Record looks quite clean but it does have some light crackles in parts and plays in VG++ condition.
