Description
This is a highly rare and sought after CBS Mastersound, half speed master, audiophile quality pressing of Santana - Abraxas, released on CBS in 1981. This includes the Mastersound promotional book you would get when purchasing one of these types of records.

The record has been professionally play tested and has been graded as NEAR MINT. This copy is practically perfect in every way. There are no scratches, no fills, or other extraneous marks of any kind. Both labels are in fantastic shape. The record sounds amazing; for how loud it's cut, there is practically no popping or crackling, even with the treble turned way up!
The jacket is in NEAR MINT condition. This is an amazing example of this jacket; there are no tears, split seams, edge wear, stickers, or markings of any kind. This really is a practically perfect, amazingly vibrant jacket. Couldn't ask for better!
The original high quality, Japanese style inner sleeve is included and is in NEAR MINT condition. This is a wonderful example of these types of inner sleeves. No problems with it at all!
The original retail Mastersound branded outer sleeve is included and is in VERY GOOD++ condition. This cannot be near mint, because the blue front sticker has to be ripped open to get the record out. However, being an opened example of this outer sleeve, this still looks impressively good. You can still make out the lettering on the sticker, and the sleeve itself has no holes or wear. It has greyed a bit from age, but this is inevitable with outer sleeves over time, even when kept properly. the original orange price sticker can be seen on the back.
The original retail CBS Mastersound book is included and is in VERY GOOD++++ condition. Most people would call this near mint, but I like to be a little conservative. This is veeeeeery nearly near mint, but it has a tiny bit of edge wear on the spine that I can't ignore. Granted, most people wouldn't notice it or care, hence the ridiculous four pluses in my grading. Still, it is an amazing example of an exceedingly rare sales book. Plus, it has the history of coming with this album, so you can take pride in keeping two pieces of history side by side, where they belong.
