Original 1978 Canadian pressing of Samuel Jonathan Johnson’s highly regarded spiritual-soul, modern-soul and jazz-funk album.
This is the original Columbia Records edition and should not be confused with the considerably later Be With Records reissue.
“My Music” was Samuel Jonathan Johnson’s only full-length album. Initially overlooked upon release, it developed a cult following among rare-soul, jazz-funk, disco and modern-soul collectors.
The title track was later sampled by The Alchemist for Jadakiss and Styles P’s “We Gonna Make It.” Other collector favourites include “Sweet Love,” “You” and “Just Us.”

CONDITION
Vinyl: VG
The vinyl retains a good gloss but displays visible hairlines, surface marks and a more noticeable linear mark consistent with previous use. It has been visually graded and has not been fully play-tested.
Labels: VG
Both original red-and-gold Columbia labels remain colourful and clearly readable. The Side Two label has a short black pen or marker line, together with light spindle and handling wear.
Original picture sleeve: G+
The original sleeve has substantial edge and corner wear, rubbing, ring wear, creasing, surface marks and small areas of damage. There is a small punch hole or damaged area near the lower-right section and wear around the upper-right credits area.
Inner sleeve: G+
The paper inner sleeve displays age-related staining, discolouration, creasing and edge wear.

The record will be securely packaged outside the picture sleeve, inside a protective outer sleeve and custom-made vinyl mailer.
