And when I say "all of the deadbeats", I certainly don't mean EVERYONE on Ebay, unlike what one misguided soul thought (you oughta read his emails, they're quite comical!). Samhain - Initium LP (NOT cd), released on Glenn Danzig's Plan 9, PL9-04. Their debut album. I believe this was released in 1984. The record is pressed on splash vinyl, which is harder to find than the standard version. Record comes housed in a plain inner sleeve - I'm not sure if it originally came with a special inner sleeve or with lyrics - if it did, neither is here. Lyle Preslar from Minor Threat plays on a few songs.

 LP jacket has wear. Some cornerwear, a little edgewear in spots. Front cover: there are maybe seven or eight 1/4"-3/4" creases at the spine, and a 1 3/4" crease at the spine, towards the bottom, some light scuffing, a 3/4" crease at the bottom edge, slight ringwear impression at the top & bottom, a few tiny corner creases, a few tiny creases at the top edge. Back cover: slight ring impression at the top & bottom, a couple of tiny corner creases, very small skin tear in the bottom left corner, a few 1/2" creases at the spine, 1 1/4" crease at the spine, a few 1/4"-3/4" creases at the top edge, a couple at the bottom edge, 1" crease at the bottom edge, some light scuffing, a few tiny dings at the bottom, 3/4" crease next to the H in HORROR BIZ, some very light staining, 5/8" line impression above HE in HE-WHO-CAN-NOT-BE-NAMED. LP jacket has it's share of wear, though nothing outrageous. Overall, I'd say it's in Very Good (VG) condition. Oh, and just a quick note - I only grade VG-, VG, VG+, and Near Mint (which isn't too often). I NEVER grade Mint, as I feel nothing is perfect, and I don't go for that "VG++++++" nonsense.

I'm playing the LP on my Sumiko turntable, and it plays well! There's some crackling in the quieter spots, of which there are not many, though you'll hear it in-between songs and at the beginning and end of each side, a few short tic spots as well. The crackling comes through more on Side 2. Side 2 has louder crackling than Side 1. Overall, I'd say Side 1 plays VG+, Side 2 plays between VG- and VG. Still a sonic treat to the ears!

Just to let everyone know: I clean all my LP's on a VPI 16.5 Record Cleaning Machine, to ensure the best possible-sounding listening experience for you!

All records come shipped in polybagged sleeves. I know, big deal, but I do this for extra protection.

U.S. BIDDERS: Winning bidder pays U.S. Postal Service shipping charges & has 2 options to choose from: $4 for Media Mail, which delivers in around 7-10 business days, or $8 for Priority Mail, which delivers in around 2-3 business days. When the U.S. Post Office raised their rates last year, I had to do the same. Insurance is optional, add $1.70 for items up to $50.

From U.S. bidders, I accept checks, money orders, and PayPal. Usually, the day after I receive a money order or PayPal, I'll ship the item. However, I have a bunch of stuff up on Ebay right now, all ending at around the same time, so it might take me 2-3 days to ship the item. If you decide to send a check, that's fine, too! I'll hold your check for around 2 weeks (10 business days, give or take a day or two) as it clears, and then I'll ship the item. NO EXCEPTIONS! If you can't wait 2 weeks, then sending either a money order or PayPal is your best bet, as the item will ship much sooner!

If you win my auction, PLEASE DO NOT USE EBAY'S CHECK-OUT SERVICE! I find it to be a pain. What you should do is:

1. You've won! Now relax. Take a deep breath. Don't email me! No, no, no! Get your fingers away from that keyboard! Step away from the computer. Now go watch a little tv. Have a glass of wine. You don't drink alcohol? Then have a cup of coffee. Decaf. Have a little snack. Settle down. Good!

2. I WILL CONTACT YOU FIRST. Wait for my email. I will email you with my name, address, and all of the auction info. I have a ton of auctions that just ended, so I might email you the night the auction ended, it might be the next day, heck - it might be two days later! I'm only one person, and I'm pathetically meticulous with this Ebay stuff, so PLEASE BE PATIENT!

3. After I email you, please email me back as soon as you can, with your name, address, the form of shipping you'll be paying for, if there's more than one option, the total $ amount you'll be sending, and let me know how you'll be paying (check, money order, or PayPal).

4. Concerning larger items where I do not know the postage just yet: once I receive your address, I'll pack that item & I'll find out the postage and I'll get back to you in a day or so.

IT'S SIMPLE!

Please don't email me 2 minutes after you've won the auction. Aside from fingernails across a blackboard, nothing annoys me more. "But I won & I want (the item) really, really soon! I gotta have it!" Again, relax. Initially, I will email YOU. Whatever it is that you won, you'll receive it soon enough.

International bidders may bid. From international bidders, I will ONLY accept either PayPal, or an international money order drawn from a U.S. bank in U.S. $ dollars. If you're from Canada, I can also accept a Canadian Postal Money Order.

If you're from outside the U.S. and you win one of my auctions, great! However, during the auction, please do not ask me how much the shipping costs are, because I DO NOT KNOW! I will say this, though: I WILL NOT OVERCHARGE YOU ON POSTAGE! For example, if someone in Japan wins an item and the postage costs $14.35, I will charge that person $15 for postage, as I round up to the nearest dollar, also covering a bit of my cost for time and packing. I do not understand people who charge $20-$25 to ship the same item, and I think it's disgraceful! Once the auction ends, please send me your address EXACTLY HOW IT SHOULD BE WRITTEN ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE PACKAGE. I will then pack the item and I'll find out the shipping costs from my post office. I will then get back to you with all the information, including my address here in NY, the shipping costs, and the total $ amount due. This may take 3-4 days, as I have a ton of auctions ending all at once. Please be patient!

Just to let everyone know: I do apologize for the large letters I used in the ad - on Turbolister, they seemed smaller, and someone bid on the record before I could shrink the letters down to this size.

Originally, 5000 black vinyl copies were pressed of Initium.
15 black vinyl copies with white streaks.
40 black and white marble vinyl copies.
100 white vinyl copies.
All first pressing copies have the Plan 9 logo and address, dull "C&P Hellbent Music" center labels, "6/84" A-side matrix, and "8/84" B-side matrix etching.

This copy has the Plan 9 logo and address on the back of the LP jacket, the dull C & P Hellbent Music printed on the labels, 6-84 etched in the A-Side matrix, 8-84 etched in the B-Side matrix. I'm not sure if this is the black vinyl copy with white streaks pressing or the marble vinyl pressing. I added another photo, this one of just the record alone, so you can judge for yourself.....
