Lovers of the obscure and seemingly lost, Brooklyn label Sacred Bones sheds a little light on the darker side of early punk with Killed by Deathrock, Vol. 1. Cobbled together by label head Caleb Braaten, the 11-track compilation explores the lesser-known genre with a gloomy collection of tracks from bands like Sweden's Kitchen & the Plastic Spoons, American band the Naked and the Dead, and Germany's Taste of Decay.
