Description
SZELL / THE CLEVELAND ORCHESTRA / SCHUMANN - " SYMPHONY NO.3 ('RHENISH') / MANFRED OVERTURE ", Columbia Records/EMI Records Ltd. (SAX 2506) Stereo, 1961.
Extremely rare, English stereo 1st Edition of this much sought after LP.
This first edition can be distinguished by the light blue and silver labels, plus the front laminated flip-back sleeve.
Professionally cleaned on my Moth record cleaning machine and put in a new poly-lined inner sleeve (with the original retained to keep it complete, of course - see photo).
CONDITION:
VINYL = NEAR MINT (No scratches, groove damage, excessive surface noise, distortion, etc. Clean labels with no spindle trails. Even under a bright grading lamp this LP is free from scratches or other visible damage, bar a couple of very faint paper scuffs which are far too slight to have any impact on the playbcak of this record. Plays very well indeed - strong, clear and without interruption from clicks, crackles or any other damage associated with misuse or over use. There's a minute amount of surface noise in the pressing during the silent run-in, but once the music starts, it disappears and plays strong and clear without interuptions. Whilst not quite a mint or unplayed record (hence the Near Mint rather than Mint grading) this record only bears just the very slightest visual signs of having even been used before and then it's clearly only had very light use in it's lifetime and has been very well cared for.
Note: for the purposes of this listing I have tested this LP on my Linn LP12 Sondek turntable - generally this is quite a critical test, but I must point out that I cannot guarantee exactly how this LP will sound on your turntable - common sense for most... but then this is ebay!!!)
SLEEVE = EXCELLENT (No big creases, rips, tears, defacing, etc. In really good shape with a lovely sheen to it still. Has been stored in a plastic outer sleeve it's whole life. Only marked down a bit for some slight wear to the corners and a couple of tiny creases in the laminate which is just lighting in a tiny section on the top left corner of the front cover - see photos for further clarification)
NOTE: I must point out that we are actually a long standing physical record shop, with many decades worth of selling, trading and grading records under our collective belts. Unlike so many of the jokers now selling records on ebay, we know how to grade records. Before bidding, please read my description carefully, decide how much this record is worth to you and place you max bid accordingly. Please also feel free to check out my feedback from the many other successful transactions I have made in the past.
ANY QUESTIONS? PLEASE DON'T HESITATE TO GET IN TOUCH!
HAPPY BIDDING!!!!!
