This is the RARE UK 2nd press of ''The Madcap Laughs' by Syd Barrett. This rare press is complete with the early A-2G / B-2G matrix, the early green Harvest label, the original inner sleeve and the original heavy card laminated Ernest J Day gatefold sleeve. However what makes this record really special is it's rare wonderful condition.
The record is in Excellent condition. The vinyl has a sensational bright gloss and shows very little sign of play at all. It looks absolutely superb. There are a just a few very insignificant wispy hairlines on both sides. The label is extremely bright, completely clean and unworn with only slight spindle wear. The colours are bold, the white is bright and the text is sharp. On playing the sound is warm, rich and extremely clear. The record comes complete with its original plain inner sleeve.
The laminated gatefold Ernest J Day sleeve is in rare Near Mint condition. The black is bold, the colours are vivid and the white is bright. The edges are exceptionally firm and the corners are solid. The inside is extremely clean with crisp sharp images on a bright, crisp background. The spine is still firm with clear text and the whole cover is exceptionally solid. It is in absolutely fantastic condition, pretty much the same as the day it was pressed.
