Description: Made in England pressing. Decca, Wide-Band Grooved label/ 2 LP set in plastic vinyl sleeve (not a folder. Booklet fits in clear front sleeve, 2 lps inside main sleeve. Not sure what pressing, see matrix numbers above.
Condition: I'm not a pro at grading records so I will describe condition as best I can. All four records sides in fine shape, only a few light sleeve scuffs and a few light surface lines, and a few very small round spots that are pressing blemishes (see 14th photo below), none of these affect play at all (you can see these in phots 11 through 15 below. These were taken under bright halogen lighting at the right angle so they would show in the photos. All these marks are hard to see in normal light, and as I said, don't affect the playing at all). There are no ticks or popping. There are spindle marks around the center holes, see the close-up label photos below). There is some light background noise on the records, but it is static-y dust typ e noise, I don't have a good cleaning system, so these are uncleaned by me. The music and singing sound wonderful, I think a proper cleaning would get rid of most, if not all of the light backround noise. There are no popping or ticking sounds. Records come in original lines sleeves.
The libetto booklet is in good shape, has some slight shelfware, and lines along left side of front cover by spine, see photo below. Bumped corners. But still very nice condition. The vinyl sleeve/cover also has some slight shelfware, but not bad. A 1/4 inch tear at top of clear plastic front sleeve. Some smudges and bumped corners.
Overall the set is in very nice shape, jut needs a proper cleaning.

PLEASE READ THESE PARAGRAPHS ABOUT SHIPPING AND POSTAGE COST:
As you may have noticed lately, the shipping costs you see in auctions has really gone up! This is because in the last year the Post Office has not only raised its prices, it has also changed the way it determines how much it will cost to ship a package. The old way was based on the weight of the package, not the size of the box (unless it was very large). But now both the weight AND size of the package determines the cost of shipping.
As an example: Take the Priority Mail cost of sending from California (where I am) to New York two packages that each weigh exactly 2 pounds. The first box measures (in inches): 12x12x12, the second box measures 13x12x12. It will cost $7.50 to send the 12x12x12 inch box, but it will cost $25.05!!! to send the 13x12x12 inch box, even though they both weigh the same! Yikes! And if the box were bigger it could cost even more!
The reason I write this is to reassure you that I will always do my best to find the least expensive way of getting you your item. I will list the best shipping options available and I will use the smallest box that I can SAFELY package an item in, if it will save you money. (I pride myself on my packing, and I won't cut corners when it comes to careful packing. Check my feedback). This goes for foreign buyers as well as those in the USA.
And you pay ONLY the actual postage cost. I never charge for packing materials or charge a handling fee. And if I do happen to make a mistake in how much it costs to ship an item and you overpay on postage, I will ALWAYS refund the overcharge.
