Description

Perfect condition copy of this rare 1959 release on Decca Records (SXL 2042) with its original Wide Band & grooved label design with "Original Recording By..." rim text - ED1. Ernest Ansermet conducts L'Orchestre de la Suisse Romande in a performance of Stravinsky's Ballet Suite "The Rite of Spring"

Condition is absolutely immaculate. The sleeve (which is the original "blue back" design) is in near perfect condition - clean and crisp with no creases, tears or seam splits. There is a small retailer's sticker on the rear sleeve and a small triangular area of laminate loss - but even this is crisp and there is no peeling around the edges.

The vinyl is immaculate. The surfaces are perfectly clean and glossy with no scratches, scuffs or abrasions. Playback is free from noise with no pops, ticks or clicks. There are no skips or jumps either.

I am very cautious with my gradings as a rule but in this particular case this record can confidently be graded as MINT. This disc is in the same condition that it was in when it left the pressing plant nearly 50 years ago ! BUY WITH CONFIDENCE !
