Description

On offer is a scarce Australian 7” EP released in 1967 on Festival (FX-11374). It contains 4 tracks (Susan Jones – Vocal – THR SUSAN JONES ROCK 5 / Susan Jones – Instrumental – THE SUSAN JONES ROCK FIVE / Susan Jones – THE SUSAN JONES BRASS / Susan Jones – THE SUSAN JONES BAROQUE QUINTET). The tune was written by Peter Best.

Susan Jones was at the time the face of the Australian airline ANSETT-ANA. The recordings were actually made for the Airline.

IMPORTANTLY – the vocal version of Susan Jones features a very young JOHN FARNHAM known then as Johnny. It was this recording that led to him gaining his first recording contract and the subsequent release of Sadie.

The record is in VG+ condition. Some light marks in a couple of spots. A little noise in the run in grooves but the record plays well. The cover is VG+(+). A small corner ding and some light storage wear. A bit heavier on the back.

A very sound copy of a hard to find record.
