Description

"Surfin Down Under"..........super scarce Aussie 60's surf instrumental lp from the Dave Bridge Trio. First and only mono pressing on the HMV label (OCLP 7608). Cover features an awesome photo of Jim Fordham at Narrebeen....looking almost like a small day at Pipeline! All but two of the tracks are named after well known Australian surfing beaches of the time..Winkiepop, Cold Coast Stomp, Ridin the Bower, Bondi Stomp etc. This is a really hard to find lp...possibly the only rarer 60's Oz surf lp is The Joy Boys "Surfin and Stompin." A classic and collectible piece of Australian surf and pop culture!

Cover is (VG-). Misc edge/spine/ring/shelf wear. Pen mark top front RHS. Original price sticker on back. 1.5" seam split top opening edge, 3.5" seam split bottom opening edge. Still a nice, presentable cover!

Visually, vinyl is (VG). Clean and glossy, with minor scuffing/marks on both sides. Plays at (Ex-)...only very faint background noise in places. A really nice playing copy of this scarce lp!

Labels are both (VG+). Clean but spindle marks on both sides.

Can be picked up from Mt Martha, Vic, or will post Australia wide in a cardboard record mailer for $8.95 flat rate. Extra $2.00 for an Auspost padded bag (recommended). Registered/insured post available at winner's request.

Thanks for looking, good luck!
