Description

In Spring, 1984, Dire Straits was just releasing "ALCHEMY" - a series of IN-CONCERT recordings.
To help promote exposure (read: sales) MARK KNOPFLER joined Richard Skinner for an HOUR of music and discussion, presenting the background story to the album and the history of the songs; the hour features live-tracks from the album itself.
THIS BBC INTERVIEW ALBUM IS EXTREMELY RARE!!
BBC Rock Hour #512 includes commercials as intended for radio broadcast the week of March 18, 1984. This album was ONLY PLAYED ONCE and then put into storage. This is ORIGINAL and NOT A BOOTLEG.
SONG LIST (as included, see photos)  Sultans Of Swing Love Over Gold  Private Investigations Solid Rock  Going Home Two Young Lovers Licence to Kill Tunnel of Love Announcer is Richard Skinner interviewing MARK KNOPFLER (along with Phil Harvey who opens/closes interview from BBC).

The BBC ROCK HOUR SERIES is one of the MOST-SOUGHT-AFTER for collectors, fans and music enthusiasts - these 1-hour programs were licensed for ONLY ONE-PLAYING exclusively in the United States and then were shipped back to the company (London Wavelength).

(Please see my OTHER LISTINGS for MORE RARE RECORDINGS - thanks!)
