Description
I've decided to sell off a few test pressings of 7"s from a couple of indie labels I used to own here in Sydney (Phantom Records, and Messiah Complex). Generally, most were given to the bands...and on occasion I may have kept a couple...usually only the one though.
Anyway, here goes:
::ARTIST: SUPERCHUNK (the lady in charge of all the test pressings at Festival [Oriel - she was a gem!] wrote the incorrect name on the label - as 'SUPER CHUNKS')::TITLE: "TOWER"

This was their 3rd ever 7" release (after the Chunk 45, and their "Slack Motherf*cker" 45)...and was only released in Australia. It includes 2 of the 3 tracks from the already-at-this-time deleted Chunk 45, plus two brand new studio tracks, of which "Tower" was exclusive to this, and "Fishing" came out as their next 7" in the U.S.
NOW, AS FOR THIS ACTUAL RECORD: It comes in its original light-blue die-cut thin card sleeve. Record has plain white labels with very basic info handwritten on 'A' side. Other label is blank.
It was cut at Festival Records' cutting room, in Pyrmont, Sydney. I'm pretty sure the cutting engineer was William Bowden. Usually I got only 4 test pressings of each release, but of this one I went out on a limb and ordered 6....four were sent to the band. Not sure what happened to the 5th one, but this remains the only one I have now.
The release only ever came in coloured vinyl: first 200 on green, next 800 on purple, then 1000 on yellow. The 6 test pressings were the ONLY ones on black vinyl.
It plays at 33rpm coz there was so much to squeeze on each side.
