Johnny and his Cellar Rockers was the Dutch guitar-player Jan Akkerman's first band from 1963. It also featured Pierre van der Linden who later joined Akkerman in The Hunters (nl) and Focus. The band covered many songs, including "Sukiyaki" and "A Picture of You".
absolute unique items from the vaults of Decca/Telefunken/RCA.; Germany. A so called 'Informations-Schallplatte' - promo Not For Sale of course - covering upcoming singles as per April 1965.
These records were released in very limited quantities and meant for radio stations.
This specific issue has:
Lorne Gibson (2x), Claus Ogerman (2x), Los Indios Tabajaras (2x), The Original Finnish Letkis-Band (2x), DAVE BERRY (2x)
and than the MAIN RARITY:
2x JOHNNY AND HIS CELLAR ROCKERS with later No.1 Guitarist chosen above Eric Clapton: JAN AKKERMAN (later FOCUS fame)
Mentioned on the sleeve is that the recordings are shortenend. This is an absolute rarity for sixties collectors. Near Mint
