Description
45RPM HISTORY, a COMPLETE set of the advance copies of RCA's first shipment of 45s in February, 1949. The original envelope proclaims" "This is Your Preview of the New RCA Victor 45 R.P.M. RECORD LINE!". All 7 original 45s and their paper sleeves are included and are in pristine condition (6 of the 7 even include the original cellophane sleeves the record and paper sleeve were shipped in!). The midnight blue vinyl 45 has a couple of minuscule scuffs on the label near the spindle hole at 7:00 (see pic); each record has full gloss, the labels are bright and shiny. The original shipping package I'm going to call VG+ since the top has been folded-over, and the two top corners are slightly frayed, but there are no tears or stains. There is writing in ink on the front from a previous owner (also pictured). Here are the records:

I've never seen another original RCA introductory set offered; I've seen sets that were put together but never with an original mailing envelope. This is a "must-have" for the serious 45rpm collector.
Actual fee for Priority Mail, according to USPS, is $9.75 (I don't know where eBay comes up with their prices).
